Several interesting and useful publications providing information about poplars and willows have recently become available online:

A series of factsheets about 10 different poplars developed by Agriculture and Agrifood Canada at Indian Head, Saskatchewan over the years provides basic information on the origin, characteristics and uses of poplars such as 'Walker', 'Assiniboine' and 'Okanese'.  The one-page factsheets include photos.  Currently available in English.  Versions françaises seront disponible bientôt.

A major international reference work on 'Poplars and Willows. Trees for Society and the Environment' co-published in February 2014 by commercial scientific publisher CABI and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN is now available online in PDF format.  The entire 699-page volume, with copious illustrations and references, was co-edited by PWCC members J.G. Isebrands and J. Richardson and is available in English.
