- Agriculture and Agrifood Canada - AAFC has a list of insects and diseases affecting agroforestry species, including poplars and willows. Searching the site with the term "agroforestry" brings up many interesting articles
- Groupe Ramo Based in Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan, Quebec, Ramo focuses on the use of willows for fencing, phytoremediation and other uses. Groupe Ramo's subsidiary, Bionera, focuses on willow use in western Canada
- Bionera - part of Groupe Ramo Bionera, based in Alberta, uses willow for phytoremediation and reclamation projects
- Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts The Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry includes a long publications list (search "poplar" or "peuplier" in French) and much othe rinformation regarding Quebec's forests and forest industry
- Passive Remediation Services Inc. (PRSI) Based in Armstrong, BC, PRSI focuses on the use of hybrid poplar for phytoremediation in landfills and wastewater treatment

- Canadian Biomass Innovation Network (CBIN) CBIN biomass-related sends updates and news items, for those who register, about new developments in the biomass sector in Canada and internationally
- Canadian Forest Genetics Association (CFGA) The CFGA is concerned with all aspects of tree improvement in Canada. This includes species of interest to PWCC but the main focus is on coniferous species. The CFGA meets biannually. PWCC held its 2023 Annual General Meeting in conjunction with the CFGA/WFGA (Western Forest Genetics Association) conference in Vernon, BC
- Canadian Forest Service/Service canadien des forêts (CFS/SCF) The CFS is within Natural Resources Canada - a Canadian government ministry. CFS research on woody species is conducted at 5 regional centres as well as the National Tree Seed Centre and the Canadian Wood Fibre Centre The CFS website also contains a link to a CFS publications database.
- Canadian Wood Fibre Centre (CWFC) The CWFC is a research branch within the Canadian Forest Service, with employees throughout Canada at CFS research centres. The CWFC develops knowledge, tools and approaches to reduce the risks to Canada's forest fibre supply.
- Centre for Northern Agroforestry and Afforestation The CNAA was established in 2006 at the University of Saskatchewan. Although it no longer functions as a research centre, the website contains relevant publications and information. Publications of CNAA research performed at the University of Saskatchewan can be searched at University of Saskatchewan, College of Agriculture and Bioresources
- FPInnovationsFPInnovations is a private not-for-profit research and development organization that supports the Canadian forest sector’s global competitiveness. It has laboratories in Vancouver, Montreal and Quebec City
- Quebec Network for Reforestation and Intensive Silviculture (2RLQ) Although the network no longer functions due to loss of long-term funding, the website contains a wealth of information about poplar research and plantations, including many published papers from 2016 to 2021

- West Fraser Inc. Former PWCC member Norbord, was taken over by West Fraser in 2021. The West Fraser website describes its operations, including the production of aspen-based Oriented Strandboard (OSB)
