Forum on the Culture of Willows and Hybrid Poplars for Energy Production: Potentials and challenges

Wendake, Quebec
March 14-15, 2012

Réseau Ligniculture Quebec, with the support of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and an organizing committee, is organizing a forum that will examine key issues for concentrated short-rotation woody crops (SRWC) of willows and hybrid poplars for energy production, namely R&D, implementation, economic feasibility, and deployment. This event will take place in Wendake, located in the vicinity of Quebec City, on March 14 and 15, 2012. More than 100 participants are expected, mainly from the Quebec forestry and agricultural sectors. Fifteen speakers from Quebec and elsewhere in Canada will share their knowledge. It will be the opportunity for diverse stakeholders to acquire relevant knowledge and to establish links with other participants.

Please note that a simultaneous translation service will be provided in both official languages.
